Messi, Iniesta and Xavi are the finalists for the Golden Ball

FIFA and the magazine France Football announced the three finalists competing for the 2010 Golden Ball are: Andrés Iniesta, Xavi Hernández and Lionel Messi. The first prize jointly deliver him in a ceremony to be held on January 10 in Zurich, by a vote of 154 journalists and 208 coaches and captains to make all teams affiliated to FIFA.


It is not the first time that nominations fall into three players from the same club, has happened twice since the award was created in 1956. For the Barcelona, will be the eighth time that a member of its staff is recognized as the best footballer in the world. With this installment will equal the mark of Juventus Turin and Milan.
