FIFA has announced a list of the 10 goals Puskas 2010 nominees among which of course are points scored by the likes of Messi, Robben and Gio Van Bronckhorst. Fans worldwide will be in charge, by vote , to elect the Mejo Goal of the Year will be recognized on January 10 in Zurich on the same date that will reveal the winner of the FIFA Golden Ball .
The award created in honor of the Hungarian football legend Ferenc Puskas has a number of criteria to select candidates. The goals must be scored from 1 January to 15 October 2010, has the aesthetics, the importance of match that was scored, fair play and did not influence the fate and opponent's error.
Given these criteria, the nominees are:

- Matthew Burrows
- Linus Hellenius
- Lionel Messi
- Samir Nasri
- Arjen Robben
- Neymar da Silva
- Siphiwe Tshabalala
- Gio Van Bronckhorst
- Kumi Yokoyama
Obviously the list highlights the Argentina star Lionel Messi of Barcelona, but now less familiar names that can make the leap to fame. The Netherlands is the only country which has a dual representation by Robben and Van Bronckhorst, while Kumi Yokoyama is the only woman running for the award.
Whatever the winner would receive the trophy from Cristiano Ronaldo who took the prize last year. Now one must decide Who will give the prize Puskas?
