River debuted in second division with a win

And finally came the day: Club Atletico River Plate made his debut in the Argentine second division football. Matias Almeyda's team played its first game in the National B and managed a win by the slightest difference to Chacarita Juniors.

Then came the day that many millionaires supporters could never have imagined: River playing in second division. A Monumental stadium in which only members present were the local team, the team managed to win Almeyda 1 to 0 thanks to a headed goal by Juan Manuel Diaz at 6 minutes into the game.

Notably, the meeting also marked the return of Fernando Cavenaghi and Alejandro "Chori" Dominguez Nuñez club, both with acceptable performances in the match. Here's a summary of the meeting left at the next video.

This result leads the tournament River ascent Boca Nacional B with U.S., Almirante Brown Institute, Gymnastics, Rosario Central and Homeless. Play their next match on Saturday against Independiente Rivadavia Mendoza.
