groups abcd2.jpg
Just place the draw for the Group Stage of UEFA Champions League 2011-2012 and now know the pairings of the new edition to jump-start on 13 September. In this post and another post immediately analyze the eight groups, with special attention to Spanish teams, which, broadly speaking, we anticipate that have had mixed fortunes: Real Madrid and FC Barcelona will enjoy two separate groups affordable, while the I have more complicated Valencia and Villarreal very, very difficult.

GROUP A: Bayern Munich, Villarreal, Man City and Napoli

Not 48 hours have passed and since the CF Villarreal held its qualifying for the UEFA Champions League but the draw for the group stage was a real cold water. The team from the Pot 1, Bayern Munich, despite being a four-time tournament, live your best moments and, of course, was not seeded as hard as he could play, much less, but at the Submarine Amarillo, part of the second group, he has had to dance with the ugliest of the other two. In Pot 3 had more formidable rival to Manchester City, recently reinforced with Kun Aguero and Samir Nasri, infinitely superior to a team like Basel ashy or BATE Borisov. And in the Bomo 4, more of the same: the Italian Napoli was, without doubt, the mouse head of this Sweepstakes, the strongest among the weakest.

It will be hard the Vila-real, live rhythm partidazo months every two weeks. It will be key not to leak too many points at home to at least guaranteed a third place that allows them to compete in Europe (and receiving income), albeit in the UEFA Europa League. However, Villarreal must rely on itself, part of the Pot 2 for something, is one of thirteen or fourteen best teams in Europe and although it has lost Cazorla, has equipment to stand up to any of its rivals. Premiering on September 14 in El Madrigal against Bayern.

GROUP B: Inter, CSKA Moscow, Lille and Trabzonspor

At the junior European champions Internazionale Milan, Fortune has smiled on the first leg of his way to reconquer the mainland throne. CSKA Moscow was, in Marseille, weaker candidates from Pot 2 and even with players like Akinfeev, Vagner Love, Mark Gonzalez and Kesiuke Honda does not seem to match for the neroazzurri. Lille OSC is the reigning French league and cup and this will be the fourth time to play the Champions League competition in which their greatest achievement is to have reached the second round in 2007. It is also quite possible that lost its main star, young Belgian-London Eden Hazard sounds hard name to take over from Cesc and Nasri in Arsenal, so there must be a match for Inter Gianpiero Gasperini .

Finally we have the Turkish Trabzonspor, which has agreed to competition after the disqualification of Fenerbahçe for match-fixing, and whose highest aspiration is to achieve a third place that allows them to fall into the Europa League. So, with Inter as the clear favorite but surprise, the runner will be among the Gauls of Lille and the Russians CSKA Moscow.

Group C: Man United, Benfica, Basel and Oţelul

Reigning European sucampeón, Manchester United, FC Barcelona is after the best European team of five years: there are three Champions final in the last four years, having won the 2008 and losing the finals in 2009 and 2011 just against Barca. Having avoided in Pot 2 for Spanish, Lyon and Milan, all you have left on your face. The second group is the favorite of the Lisbon Benfica, a club that has been discussed extensively in Spain this summer with the signings of Ezequiel Garay, Joan Capdevila and Nolita. The latter has won over the fans by scoring a spectacular start. It is not a weak team, then, besides those already named, has defensascmmo Luisão and Maxi Pereira, midfielders Javi Garcia and as new signing Argentinian Enzo Pérez, or Paraguayan striker Oscar Cardozo like, not to mention two classics like Johnny Aimar and Javier Saviola.

This is the second consecutive year that the FC Basel to qualify for the group stage of Champions. Last year we were drawn with Bayern and Roma, who relegated him to third place. For the new edition aspire to play for second place with Benfica but more realistic would be to repeat the role last season. Cinderella of the group is Oţelul Romanian, which will debut in the Champions League after winning the league for the first time in his country. Remember the name of one of its players in a year?

GROUP D: Real Madrid, Lyon, Ajax and Dinamo Zagreb

Real Madrid will cross your path to the Tenth with Olympique Lyonnais and Ajax Amsterdam, rivals with whom they clashed last year, winning two matches in the group stage to the Dutch and the French displacing in the second round, avenging last year's elimination. The Weakest Link, and therefore less likely to pass the first stage, Dinamo Zagreb, winner of the last six league Croats.

Olympique holds the bloc last year, Lloris, Cris, Källström, Pjanić, Lisandro, Bastos, Gourcuff ... so the team's main novelty is the new coach Gallo, Remi Garde, which has replaced Claude Puel, who had three and a half seasons at the club. In 2008, its first year, Lyon won his seventh consecutive league (all of its history) and his last drink, but since then he has not lifted a trophy. Meanwhile, Ajax comes to reconquer the Dutch league, which had not won since 2004. Unlike its French rival, Ajax does not have a team with big names, so that its main figure is his coach, the former Barcelona Frank De Boer, who has managed the feat to achieve the league title in his rookie year as a coach.

Madrid debut on September 14 at the Stadion Maksimir in Zagreb.
