The AFE maintains the strike: the League starts this weekend

huelgaafelfp.jpg
This morning a meeting was held between members of the Professional Football League and the Association of Spanish Footballers with, a priori, one goal: bringing positions in the collective bargaining agreement and unlock a situation that has led to the AFE as we told you to call a strike for the first two days .

The meeting ended without an agreement being reached between the two sides so the players union has decided to keep the strike. Both sides have been cited again for Friday morning, but the president of the LFP, Jose Luis Astiazaran has confirmed that although the situation improves in the meeting tomorrow, it would be too late to call off the strike and celebrate the day - beginning on Friday with the same league match between Villarreal B Come and Hercules.

The worrying thing is no longer the issue it seems difficult for both sides to reach a common point, but one of them, the LFP, seems bent on blowing up the situation. The SFA, in its capacity as party convener of the strike committee and through it, had summoned the LFP for two meetings: the first, which should have been held yesterday in Valencia on 16, and this morning in Barcelona . However, in the LFP were fools and issued a statement saying they have called today's meeting to resolve the alleged ineffectiveness of the AFE.

The LFP has had no intention of reaching an agreement with the SFA before this weekend. His strategy, as expected, passes to push the AFE to stand firm in their call for strike and force the players to reach the final, with the clear intention that the fact that it celebrates the first La Liga day become the players in the bad guys. Astiazarán whole situation reduces to a statistical deception:

We agree on 80% of the issues is a shame that 20% we are in this situation. There have been many recent achievements, such as the guarantee of payment for players, which is set to half of 240,000 euros and 120,000 in First player in seconds. However, it is impossible not stop on the first day

That 80% of the speaker will refer to the number of pages in the negotiation because it is clear that within this assumption remains to be 20% agree, is the crux of the matter: AFE requires concrete measures both to cover salaries of the 200 players who, today, are delayed in their collections, and for the punishment to fall instantly to those clubs that do not fulfill the contracts with their workers. And the LFP intended that players conform to those patches of 240,000 to 120,000 for First and Second and dodge the second question (the descent of the clubs that remain unpaid.) Luis Gil, director of the SFA:

The positions are further apart if possible. Continue to work this afternoon and tomorrow and we will meet again on Friday. The League does not want to catch up. If the modification of the bankruptcy law was in force, the distance margin would be lower. The biggest problem is that players have payment guarantees because there are more than 200 who are owed money. We will work to bring positions closer. At present, the AFE does not arise to bring the strike beyond the second day. We advocate the application of the Sports Act. Clubs must not pay down

So definitely the Liga 2011/2012 will not begin this weekend. Now it remains to see if in the coming days LFP and AFE agree that it does dispute the second day, because in this case would already have to make somejuggling to frame the two days lost. For the first time you are thinking about the Christmas season. For those fans who had tickets to see games in cities that are on holidays, our heartfelt "condolences" for them and a request: mistake not guilty.
