Children, goals and fatal accidents

On Monday a 15-year-old died in the Andalusian village of La Mojonera to collapse on his body one of the goals of the football in the neighborhood of El Viso. An unfortunate accident that unfortunately is not the first time, much less, occurring in our country. The fatal accident due to falling a goal have been repeated year after year and every time something happens we lay hands on the head. But not enough to complain, we must do more to stop this kind of accidents.

And, seeing as these types of mishaps occur again and again, one begins to wonder whether to continue attributing to the randomness of the accident or whether it is time to bring to the owners of sports facilities as the main responsible. Considerations will not go into law because I'm not knowledgeable about the subject, but what I do not lose anyone is the feeling that if current legislation is sufficient in this respect, is not ensuring its enforcement, and if not it is, it's time to take action on the matter.

In this latest event is that some kids went into the sports arena when it was closed, so it is clear that none of them should have been there. The fact is that some of the goals were not anchored to the ground and was one in which the bar hung the child died, causing the fall of the same on your body. So all these accidents occur, moving goalposts do not have the necessary anchors those just hanging a child and recklessly ...

All goals should be anchored regulations at all times, because although there are adult monitors while they are used, hardly anyone could do something to prevent the accident when it happens. In many cases the goals are chained to disable them while the sports arena is closed, but that is not a sufficient solution, because, as we say, then used without measures to ensure the overall safety of its users. What usually happens is that on the same track is played football, basketball, volleyball, etc, and every time you change of discipline have to change the furniture, goals, baskets, nets ... -, causing that in many cases, either by laziness, tiredness, or simple irresponsibility, relax security measures.

When last month the Spanish team played a friendly against Colombia whose income were dedicated to the Spanish Football Association, applauded the project announced the SLA of investing part of the money raised to equip all fields II B of a defibrillator for improve the safety of both players and the fans. Without wishing to criticize or point fingers, nothing is further from my intention, I think the union led by Luis Rubiales should not ignore these events and, therefore, try to put their two cents on improving the sports facilities at least those in which they play football competitions Land. I say this because Goldilocks and the team he heads has made me confident that the players finally have a union really cares about improving the situation of all provinces: in a few months have shown that not only care professional football but also are very sensitive to the needs of football modest.

Might not follow this kind of accident happening, as we said at first, occur too often as if we were not able to learn from past experiences. I do not wish demagogic, but I can not get into his head that some parents lose their child in the place you go to play for an accident could be avoided in most cases. It can not happen again, never again, so those who have responsibility for it, take charge once and for all.
