Canada eliminated Spain Davis Cup

Deprived of their four best players - Rafael Nadal (5 of the ATP) and Nicolas Almagro (11), David Ferrer (4) and Fernando Verdasco (24) - Spain has had no choice in the first round of the 2013 Davis Cup. Canada on track quickly and with Raonic in great shape, has had pity on the Spanish team, represented by good players but far from the elite: Marcel Granollers (ATP 34 ks), Albert Ramos (51) or Guillermo Garcia Lopez (82).

Corretja, without reproach

"I have no blame for anyone, not for those who did not come or for those who have played, they have given their all and have done the best they could. And lose the Spanish team, the Spanish tennis, that's not just us here, just like when we win we all win "said Alex Corretja, team captain.

"On this occasion there were some peculiar circumstances, a trip very complicated and difficult opponents in their most favorable conditions. I thank the players who have shown their faces, we have to see what rival in April and who are willing to come and play in September, but again, no blame anyone, "said Catalan.

"I am aware of the fact, there is no ghost. I have what is clear. I talked to all the players before coming, and those who have been accepted to face very tough opponents "said the Spanish captain, who spared no praise for the delivery of the players.
