The team of the year, according to readers of Mark

Make a team with all players in the Spanish League football is almost like making a selection invincible. That's what readers have played sports daily Marca when they voted the 11 best players of 2011. Then I'll tell you who were in the starting lineup.

Barca 5, 5 a former Real Madrid and Atletico. Top 11 of the year were, for the readers of Make: Casillas, Dani Alves, Pique, Sergio Ramos, Marcelo, Xavi, Iniesta, Di Maria, Kun Aguero, Cristiano Ronaldo and Messi.

Honestly there are no major surprises, although a few interesting facts to note, especially taking into account the nationality of the players.

Of these 11 have been chosen more than half are foreigners (Messi, Aguero, Di Maria, Dani Alves, Marcelo and Cristiano Ronaldo), a fact that is striking considering that Spain is the reigning world champion. Yes, the midfield is not what anyone pulls that make up the duo Xavi and Iniesta.

Even more striking is to see that the Brazilians still honor his reputation of taking good side: Dani Alves and Marcelo are chosen. It is also noted that most attack-minded players are almost all Argentine Messi, Agüero and Di Maria. Christian is the exception.

Finally we should emphasize that this is a team, on average, relatively young: the average age is 25.8 years. Is there a balance between young players, but not so much (as Aguero, Di Maria and Marcelo with 23) and older players, but not as adults (as Casillas and Xavi who are 30 and 31 respectively).
