Survey results: what foreign teams sympathize?

Before getting to the point from Football Notes of thanks for your high participation. Since surveys began to propose your help has been increasing and that is something that pushes us to continue to seek feedback from you, our readers. At this time 1500 people have participated, representing a record for us. The survey is far from perfect because it is true that we left out some teams that deserved to be in-like Tottenham or the St. Pauli-and even we could have introduced another American League. Without further ado, here are the results:

Barclays Premier League

The Premier League is the competition of most interest to foreign readers NDF; example of this is that only 3% of voters have declared no sympathy with any English team. As the most votes among the options we gave Arsenal FC is the most beloved team, with 36% of the votes, followed by Manchester United (18%), Liverpool (17%) and Chelsea (10%) . It seems that the way the team played Arsène Wenger has enchanted many-for titles not because they have not raised any in the last five years.

Manchester United and Liverpool are virtually equal in what could be considered a technical draw. The two most successful clubs in England have to add their votes to reach the level of support we have had the Gunners. Finally, Chelsea, despite having won titles since the arrival of Abramovich, is still a bit behind with 10% of supporters.

Lega Calcio Serie A

Italy hoped that the vote was very close between the three big teams, AC Milan, Juventus and Inter Milan. In fact, between the first and second and between these and the third only a difference of 4%. The Rossoneri have 24% of the vote, the Bianconeri a neroazzurri 20% and 16%.

Surely many of those who declare Milan fans were hooked in the nineties, with that great team that destroyed the ship at the 94, but readers will also have veterans who fell in love with the immortal Sacchi. La Vecchia Signora has much Despite his support for last five years, while Inter, dominating in recent times, should be gaining popularity each year.

Fußball-Bundesliga

In the Bundesliga we also find a trio that is far above the rest. The most beloved club is Bayern Munich, the great master of the Bundesliga in the last decade, with 27% of the votes. After they receive the Borussia Dortmund, with 18%, a team that won many fans in the nineties, in fact, no German shirt has been higher in Spain than the yellow Borussia phosphate that was crowned in Europe in 97 .

The last place on the podium is occupied by Schalke 04, whose support had to win many fans this season thanks to the presence of Raúl González. Finally, I only regret having forgotten to St. Pauli, which surely would have received enough votes with its particular philosophy.

Argentina Primera Division

As expected, the tournament favorites Argentina are Boca Juniors and River Plate. Xeneizes, who claim that in Argentina join "half plus one" for all football fans, dominate with 31% of the vote, while the millionaires ensure second place with 25% support.

The next two are the Avellaneda club with 5% of the vote for Independent and 3% for Racing. For a raven like me is a bit disappointing that San Lorenzo de Almagro received only 2% of the votes, a percentage increase humldemente try to publish an article this month that relataréla unique history of the Boedo club.

Eredivisie

In the Dutch League, as expected, Ajax rises above all others with a percentage of supporters than any other favorite links to other participants in the survey. The football club that changed the hand of Johan Cruyff (and others) is the favorite for 60% of you. PSV are far, with 13%, and Feyenoord, with only 3%. There is no doubt that the influence of Ajax in modern football is recognized by the readers of NDF.

Ligue 1 Orange

The results of the French League have brought the biggest surprise for the writer. Olympique Lyonnais, the undisputed master of the Ligue 1 in the last decade, commands the vote with 18% of support. But very close to them makes an appearance at Paris Saint Germain, which reaches 16%. It is still strange that a team founded in 1970 whose greatest international achievement is the European Cup won in 1996-casting to Deportivo in the semis ... -. Following them are the Olympique Marseille, with 11% and the other French-Monaco is my sports choked with 7% in technical tie with Bordeaux.

LIGA Sagres

The main reading that leaves the section on the Portuguese League is that, despite sharing the border with Spain, the competition is less interesting for us: the option that has received the most votes is "am certainly not Portuguese club" , chosen by 37% of voters. Beyond that, the trio of clubs lifetime accounts for the rest of the votes: Benfica and Porto are tied on top with 23% of the vote, while Sporting Lisbon-or rather, Sporting Portugal, who his real name, gets 12%.

Follow-up to Madrid and Barca

08-boat-madrid.jpg

To complete the survey was interesting to take this juncture to ask that our supporters expressed if within the Spanish League Real Madrid or Barca was your first computer. Before some of my hands are cast in the lead with the results or start jumping to conclusions, it seems essential to take into account that many of our readers are American NDF entering in search of a blog to keep them informed of the Spanish League.

This vote was very close: the most voted option is those for which the Madrid and Barca are not their first team, with 34% of the vote. The second option is more support Blaugrana, with 33%, while whites are very close, with 31%. This data comes to earth throw some readers desnortados charge in relation to that NDF is dominated by the Catalans, the difference between them is minimal.

Barca and Madrid as a second option

Finally, it seemed interesting to know what percentage of people for which no Barca and Real Madrid is the first team, they sympathize with any of them as an alternative. With what did not is that a considerable number of people do not understand the question or answer with the intention of cheating or distort the survey. Because the fact is that many who chose the white and Blaugrana as his first team, also voted on the following question, which should not participate because that second question was addressed to those who at first had declared that none of the two is their first team.

As a result, I had to eliminate all fraudulent responses and stay only with the 504 voters who had chosen the previous question "either", so in this case we have illustrated. The data, once cleaned of trash, are:

Total votes: 504

  • Sympathize with the Real Madrid: 87 votes (17%)
  • SympatheticFC Barcelona: 252 votes (50%)
  • Do not sympathize with either: 165 votes (33%)

Thank you very much everyone for participating.
