In the game that played this weekend AZ Alkmaar and Ajax Amesterdam (1-1) Maarten Martens invented the wonder of pipe that can be seen in the video that heads this post. The victim, Theo Janssen, was one of those moments when you want the earth to swallow.
This wonderful dribbling Martens could well be part of that selection of ten legendary dribbling I published at the time, competing with other pipes that gathered there, such as Round at Old Trafford or Riquelme. It had been months since that post went over and Martens has served as my excuse. Every time I see what Bergkamp reaffirmed that Dodge is the best I've seen in my life.
